North Dakota State fifth-year senior Payton Otterdahl won the men's weight throw with a sixth-round effort of 79-1.25 (24.11m) at the NCAA Division 1 Indoor Championships at the CrossPlex in Birmingham, Ala. Otterdahl, the No. 5 all-time collegiate indoor performer in the weight throw, became the first male athlete since Ohio State's Dan Taylor in 2004 to sweep the shot put and weight throw in the same championship meet.
