Tyra Gittens placed second in the women's high jump final for Texas, clearing 6-2.25 (1.89m), along with producing an 11th-place effort in the long jump with a leap of 20-6.25 (6.25m) at the NCAA Division 1 Indoor Championships at the CrossPlex in Birmingham, Ala. Gittens, who won the title last year for Texas A&M, helped the Longhorns finish second overall with 56 points, their best finish since 2014.
