Stanford finished off an impressive weekend at the NCAA Indoor Championships from Fayetteville, Ark. with more outstanding results, including an individual national champion. Erica McLain took home the title in the triple jump for the second consecutive year.

McLain led the Stanford women to a fifth place finish overall with 32 points. Arizona State took the indoor title with 51 points. The Stanford men also fared well, finishing seventh with 23 points. Arizona State won the men's side as well with 44 points.

McLain used a personal best jump of 46-7 1/4 to take the title for the second consecutive season. McLain became just the seventh multiple-time individual champion in Stanford women's track and field history. She also became the first Stanford female to ever win the same event twice indoors. 46-7 1/4 was also the top mark by an American this season, an impressive accomplishment in an Olympic year.

Stanford also came up big in the 3,000 meters where Arianna Lambie placed third and Lauren Centrowitz finished fourth. Lambie surged to the lead early in the race and led most of the way before being passed by eventual winner Susan Kuijken of Florida State. Lambie's time of 9:05.41 was just ahead of her teammate Centrowitz who came in with a personal best time of 9:11.09 after working from behind in the race. With her run Centrowitz moved into seventh all-time for Stanford in the 3,000 meters indoors.

Stanford's final competitor of the day was Alicia Follmar in the mile. Follmar finished tenth with a time of 4:52.30.
