Published by
USC sophomore Chanel Brissett won the women's 60-meter hurdles national title, equaling her personal best of 7.90 seconds, at the NCAA Division 1 Indoor Championships at the CrossPlex in Birmingham, Ala. Brissett became the first USC female athlete since Ginnie Crawford, formerly Virginia Powell, in 2006 to capture the 60-meter hurdles crown. Brissett was also supported by teammates Dior Hall (8.11) and Mecca McGlaston (8.48) placing sixth and seventh, respectively, helping USC become the first program in NCAA Division 1 indoor history to have three 60-meter hurdlers earn All-America honors in the same year.
