Defending Champs Florida Men, Oregon Women Open Indoor Season as Number OneCourtesy: Tom Lewis, USTFCCCA January 6, 2011 NEW ORLEANS – The USTFCCCA released national team computer rankings for the NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field preseason. Defending national champions – Florida’s men and Oregon’s women – top the field early on. Preseason rankings are calculated using performance data from previous seasons and coaches and SIDs report those eligible for the rankings. PDFs: Top 25 | Full by Team | Event-by-Event A full report will be posted Friday. Texas A&M announced on Thursday that defending national 200-meter champion Curtis Mitchell has forgone his remaining eligiblity and has decided to turn professional in the sport. Calculated rankings reflect the announcement. A correction was made at 3pm CT on Thursday to fix an error in the women’s pole vault, shot put, and weight throw rankings. About the Rankings
