Keturah Orji Continues to ShineBy Adam Schneider, DyeStat Editor Georgia’s Keturah Orji set collegiate and American records in the triple jump at the SEC Indoor Championships with an amazing leap of 46-11.75 (14.32m), and contributed to a spectacular long jump competition with three athletes soaring over the 22-foot barrier. Kentucky's Sha’Keela Saunders won with a jump of 22-4.5 (6.82m) over defending NCAA champion Quanesha Burks of Alabama, who secured a runner-up finish of 22-2.25 (6.76m), while Orji was third with a best of 22-0.75 (6.72m). Arkansas' Tori Weeks and her sister Lexi both cleared 15 feet (4.57m) in the pole vault, as Victoria won with fewer misses. Janeah Stewart of Mississippi set a big personal record in the weight throw to win with a best of 76-0.75 (23.18m), with Kendell Williams of Georgia winning the pentathlon with a collegiate-leading score of 4,686 points. Sophomore Katherine Receveur of Indiana had a great distance double at the Big Ten Championships with a collegiate-leading win in the 5,000 meters with a 15:28.89, then coming back the next night to place second in the 3,000 in 9:07.04, as Michigan's Gina Sereno won the title in 9:07.0.
